Temporary PIN code

A temporary PIN code is an 8-digit code that you request and subsequently received on the mobile number you have registered with MitID.

If you need a temporary PIN code, you have three options:

  • You can request an temporary PIN code via your profile page on MitID.dk
  • You can request a temporary PIN code by contacting MitID Support
  • You can get a temporary PIN code from Citizen Service

Chose how to get a temporary PIN code:

Log in on your profile page on MitID.dk and order a temporary PIN code. Remember that you cannot request a temporary PIN code until 24 hours after, you have logged in and requested access. Follow the instructions on the page.

You will get a temporary PIN code on the mobile number you have registered with MitID.

Get a temporary PIN code from MitID Support. MitID Support requires that you identify yourself over the phone. 

MitID Support will require your passport number or your driver license number (valid Danish or Greenlandic passport or driver license) and ask you to answer a set of questions based on your information in the Danish CPR-register.

You will receive the temporary PIN code on the mobile number, you have registered with MitID.

You can get temporary PIN code from Citizen Service.

Remember that the Citizen Service requires valid documentation so you can identify yourself in order to request a temporary PIN code. Remember to book a time for your visit to a Citizen Service Center.
