You can reactivate your MitID app with your passport. You can do this if you have entered the wrong PIN code for the MitID app too many times – or if e.g., you have forgotten your PIN code for the app.
If you have entered your PIN code for your MitID app incorrectly too many times, your app will be temporarily blocked. You can reactivate your blocked app by verifying who you are e.g., by scanning your passport/ID card and face with the MitID app. You can then create a new PIN code so that your can use your app again. The same applies if you have forgotten your PIN code.
Your phone must be able to scan a chip. Make sure that the phone you are using is updated. Read more about the technical requirements to your phone: MitID.dk/technical-requirements

Do you have a foreign passport/ID card – and do you not have a Danish CPR number? Then you need a P code before you can use the MitID app and your passport/ID card to reactivate your app.
See how to get a P code. You can use a P code up to three times, so if you already have a P code, you might be able to use it again. When you have a P code, you can follow the steps as described above.
MitID Support can send you a temporary PIN code by SMS. But first you need to identify yourself on the phone. You will need to inform either your passport number or driving license number (valid Danish or Greenlandic driving license or passport) and then answer a series of questions based on your details in the CPR register.
If you cannot answer enough questions, MitID Support cannot send you a temporary PIN code and you will have to go to Citizens Service Centre for help in creating a new PIN code instead.
Please note that if your phone number has been registered or changed on MitID.dk within the last 5 days, MitID Support cannot send you a temporary PIN code and you will need to go to Citizens Service Centre instead for help to create a new PIN code.

Please note that you can only get the temporary PIN code by calling the support. Therefore, you cannot write to the support and ask for a temporary PIN code to be sent to you.
What you need to do after receiving a temporary PIN code from the support depends on the instructions shown in the app.
You can see that the app is temporarily locked when you open it:
Your MitID app says 'Ready for use':
The temporary PIN code is valid for 30 minutes.
