Step 3 - Scan passport code, read chip and scan face
Step 4 - Create user ID
Step 4 - Activate or order MitID

  1. You will now take the phone of the person you are helping. Go to the Apple App Store or Google Play and search for 'MitID'. Select the MitID app from 'Digitaliseringsstyrelsen' and press Download.
  2. Open the MitID app
  3. Press Get started
  4. Choose 'Passport or ID card' and press Next
  5. Read the 4 steps you must go through and press Next
  6. The person you are helping must accept the Terms and Conditions by pressing Next, read the Privacy Policy and then pressing Next
  7. Proceed to step 2 by pressing Next
  8. Choose where the person's passport is from and press Next

Please note that this guide applies to Danish, Faroese or Greenlandic passports.
