No solution offers 100 percent protection against fraud.
Do not ever inform another person about your user ID or codes. You will never be asked by any public authority, the bank, MitId support, or others about your user ID or codes.
Suspecting abuse
If you know or suspect that your MitID is compromised, you need to block your MitID temporarily. If you have lost your MitID authenticator (phone with MitID app, code display, code reader, or chip), you can just block the missing unit.

5 tips for protecting your MitID
- Never show or share your MitID codes with others.
- Never share your MitID app, code display, audio code reader or chip with others. The app can be shared with others in the household as long as each person has their own user ID and PIN code.
- Never share your user ID with others - except with the MitID Support if you contact them yourself.
- Never share MitID QR codes with others, either by sending screenshots or through screen sharing.
- Always read what you are about to approve with MitID. If the text does not match what you intend to do or if you did not initiate the action yourself, do not approve it.
