- Find the location of the Citizen Service in the municipality you want to visit
- Check whether you need to book a time for your visit (most Citizen Services require that you book time, so they can assist you correctly)
- Remember valid documentation
- Answer a number of questions about yourself (based on the danish CPR-register) or bring a witnesser, who can confirm your identity.

Specifically for security level High
Security level High is the highest achievable security level you can reach. However, the high security requirements mean that there are some usage restrictions compared to the Low and Significant levels. Please note that only very few Danish services require login with security level High.
Here's what you should be aware of:
- Achieving and maintaining security level High requires physical presence at Citizen Service in one of the municipalities currently offering this service. You cannot use passport scanning or other self-help options to achieve security level High.
- You can only use the MitID App and the MitID Chip if you need to log in at the High level. This means that the MitID code display and MitID audio code reader cannot be used for login.
- If you choose to use the MitID App, there can only be one identity on the same app, and you can no longer use biometric (fingerprint/Touch ID/Face ID).
- There are extended requirements for documentation and validation. See the requirements for identification and documents here: Identification and Documents - MitID
