The technical explanation

When you add a new MitID chip, a security element is created in your MitID chip, and a matching element is also created in the MitID solution. If your MitID chip becomes permanently blocked, the security element in the MitID solution is deleted. When the same MitID chip is added again to your MitID profile, a new pair of security elements is generated, allowing the physical MitID chip to be reused.
