Activation code

You use the activation code differently, depending on whether you need it for your MitID app, MitID code display, MitID code reader, MitID chip or password.

MitID app

Use an activation code to activate or re-activate your MitID app. You get an activation code at Citizen Service.

MitID code display or MitID audio code reader

If you have entered the one-time code from the screen incorrectly too many times, your code display or audio code reader will be locked, and you can reactivate it with an activation code. You can get an activation code for the MitID code display and audio code reader at Citizen Service.

MitID chip

You can activate your MitID chip with an activation code. You can get an activation code for your MitID chip at Citizen Service. You can also activate chip by scanning your passport in the MitID app.

MitID password

If you have forgotten your password or your password has been locked, you need to create a new password. You can get an activation code for your MitID password at Citizen Service or from MitID Support.
