With the MitID app, you can approve transactions with a swipe on your phone or tablet. For example, when transferring money in your online bank or logging in to borger.dk.

You can get the MitID app in the following ways

After downloading the MitID app from the Apple App Store or Google Play and installing it on your phone or tablet, you need to activate it. You can activate your MitID app in the following ways:

  • Activate by copying your existing MitID app
    You can copy your MitID app to another phone or tablet by scanning a QR code from your existing MitID. With this feature, you can easily and quickly activate a new MitID app, for example, if you get a new phone or tablet.

  • Activate by scanning your passport in your MitID app
    You can activate your MitID app by scanning your passport in the new app.

  • Activate your MitID app with an activation code
    You can activate your MitID app by entering an activation code, along with your user ID in the new app. You can get an activation code at a Citizen Service Center.
